Intervention through your NDIS funding
We work with Plan and Self Managed clients under what is usually called Improved Daily Living (IDL) and/ OR Capacity building Supports. These names can change depending on what the price guide is up to, but most people use those terms.
We can help with going through your plan, looking at your goals and helping decide what works best for you, especially if you have allocated funds or need to budget with other Allied Health. We will try to balance what you would like and what is clinically needed, for example sometimes you feel you might need weekly, when you might only need fortnightly sessions. Ultimately you call the shots, but we will try to help the best we can.
We with people who have a broad range of disabilities including:
ADHD
ASD
Intellectual Disability
Schizophrenia
Behavioural Difficulties
Schooling difficulties
Parenting difficulties
And many more.
We use assessment and evidence based intervention’s or strategies to help you meet your goals. You can always ask how or why we are doing things, as your clinician will always have a clinical reason for what they are doing. But we will always try to explain this first.
This is a part of life, sometimes you just don’t get along with someone. That being said we always ask to give things a little bit of a go first to see if it’s jitters or a miscommunication. We appreciate feedback, and if you feel comfortable, please have a chat with your clinician about it to see if you can fix or change what is happening.
It’s important to remember that through psychology it’s expected to talk about things that are painful, uncomfortable or a little difficult. If you need boundaries or time before talking about things, that’s okay too. Psychologists (unfortunately) can’t read minds, and we work best through collaboration; so working together on these can be helpful to know what works best for you.
If you feel there is something more important to say or you’re too nervous to talk with your clinician, that’s okay too, shoot us an email at info@thelifebridgenetwork.com to escalate it and we can look into it to make sure it’s rectified or reported.
